Musician John Cale was the violist, keyboardist and bassist of the 60's avant-garde band, The Velvet Underground. Since the breakup of the group in 1968, John Cale has had a career as a solo artist. In 1990, he collaborated with former Velvet Underground member Lou Reed, on "Songs for Drella," a tribute to artist Andy Warhol. (RE-BROADCAST FROM 8/1/94)
